The Proceedings of the European Conference on Surface Science 2025 will be published by Elsevier B.V. as a Special Issue of Surface and Coatings Technology. This Special Issue will feature approximately 100 selected contributions. The review process, manuscript format, typography, and layout will follow the same standards as the regular issues of the journal. Submission implies that the work is original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere. Any previously published material must be fully acknowledged. There will be no page charges.

Manuscripts must be submitted online via Elsevier’s Editorial System (EES) at https://www.sciencedirect.com/journal/surface-and-coatings-technology. Submission will be announced during the Conference, and authors may begin uploading manuscripts from 1 September 2025. The submission deadline is 31 October 2025. The Publisher aims to release the Special Issue within two months of receiving the complete set of final manuscripts, and no later than March 2026.
